The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Finished finals this week and so I can finally put something up again. I watched "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" last night and was completely blown away with the intro to this film. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross redid 'Immigrant Song' by Led Zeppelin with Karen O on the vocals. The visuals in this intro and the music are amazing together. Enjoy 

Mary and Max (2009)

 Here is one of my favorite movies as of late, "Mary and Max" directed by Adam Elliot is an amazing Full-length Clay Stop-Animation. This movie is NOT for kids but is quite enjoyable for adults. The reason for this not being for kids is because of the subjects that it hits on throughout the movie ranging from mental disorders, to suicide, to bullying, etc... There's not a lot of subjects that it doesn't decide to tackle during the 92min run-time of this movie. However with all of the seriousness that comes with the various issues the director does an amazing job of keeping you laughing through the entire film. You can watch this film streaming from Amazon.com. Another piece from this same director is a short called "Harvie Krumpet" which is done in the same style but is only about 22min long. Hope that you guys will go and try them out, you won't regret it.

Bartholomew's Song

Well I was sitting in my Eastern European Cinema class the other day and I kept on seeing clips of this film come up in examples we were being given of different camera shots. It caught my interest and I had to look it up. Turned out the what I was seeing was a short film called Bartholomew's Song. It's about 10min long and pretty interesting. Do Nothing/Bitchslap

Ok this has to happen, this is by far my most favorite Slipknot song ever made. It's a perfect fusion of Funk, Jazz, and of course Heavy Freaking Metal. Really everybody needs to sit down, put on some awesome headphones, crank up the volume, and just go through the experience. This is not what you expect from Slipknot and is one of my most cherished finds.

So my awesome sister showed me this video and I couldn't pass putting it on my blog. The song writer is Steven Wilson, the main mind behind Porcupine Tree. Give this video a shot, it has quite the crazy story to tell. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

Well for anyone who stumbles upon this blog or who actually read it I'm asking you to get a hold of your congressman and tell them to vote NO on SOPA and PIPA.
